The Path of Becoming

Most of our lifetime experience is focused on undoing karma. In fact, the only reason we are here today is to resolve karma and help the earth with the release of karma from the third dimension so we can all ascend into higher dimensions of being. This lifetime is so challenging for many of us because we have taken on many different levels and kinds of karma in one lifetime, where we usually focused on one, so that we could fast track the ascension process. And all of our lifetimes, from the very beginning, have been about moving from karma to forgiveness, from fear to love, from pain to healing. And here we are again, repeating this cycle but this one is different because as we end karma, and it is happening now for many of us, we are moving into a new cycle of experience, where we must release our need to undo karma and step into becoming.

I described the movement from undoing to becoming on the 11-11-11 Mastery Attunement program (which is available this week), and it is where we are today. We no longer have to participate in karma, although we can if we choose to do so. Instead, we are on a new path where we need to become, consciously and intentionally expanding our energy beyond karma to step into new potentials and possibilities. Without karma to undo, which means heal and release, we have to create a new path for our energy, one that includes freedom, joy, love, peace, no drama and no martyrdom.

For eons we have been the martyred healers, sacrificing ourselves for the benefit of our soul group and humanity, limiting our ability to be successful, to have abundance, to be whole and wholly in our own energy, so we could be the teachers and healers that were necessary at that time. Did we dare become healed and whole and if we did, what happened to our soul contracts for healing? If we didn’t martyr ourselves, would we complete our healing missions? What would happen to the earth and the promise of ascension? What would happen to our soul groups if we weren’t present for their healing? The price of failure was, in our opinion, to high to consider so we continued on our path.

The paradigm of the martyred healer has run its course and now we need to become ourselves, as soon as we figure out what that is. Our martyred healer paradigm has become another aspect of our being, one we have adopted and carried into each lifetime without wondering whether this continued to serve us, our healing purpose or our soul group. So many of our lifetimes have been dictated by our healing journey that we don’t know what else to do so we can feel useful, powerful and purposeful. Whether it through the family and soul group, relationships and partners, or the many energetic commitments we have aligned ourselves with, we have learned to identify ourselves with those things and without them, we don’t feel we have an identity or a purpose.

The path of becoming is unfamiliar to us and a little overwhelming because of our soul history as healers. We have, at other times of ascension, such as Atlantis and Lemuria, let go of this path and the world came crashing down around us. I write about the ‘Atlantean Guilt’ in Ascending into Miracles and it is a powerful reminder to us that we can never let go of our healing role. And we can’t, but it’s time for us to do it in a different way.

This is the time of the victorious healer, the whole healer, one who is wholly in its own energy and leading by example, not by suffering. We have worked so hard to ‘undo’ lifetimes of energy that we have done all we can. Now we need to set the example of becoming, of living powerfully, fully, wholly and within our own energy. We are in the new earth, how do we become examples of more powerful living? If we are no longer going to lead through suffering and drama, what does a suffering- and drama-free life look like? That is where we step into becoming, as we learn to live powerfully.

There is so much we have taught the world about karma and assisted in its healing and release, now we need to teach the world about karma’s polarity, which is harmony. We can be in harmony with the earth, each other and ourselves. We can also be in harmony with our own energy and allow ourselves, without fear, to be successful, to receive, to be in joy and enjoy life. We have had so many lifetimes of pain, it’s time to become the joy we have worked so hard to bring to the earth and to teach others about.

We have come full circle now, as we started the world as powerful beings with an important and powerful mission. Our sacrifice, suffering and sorrow were great and now that we are finished with the paradigm of undoing, we must begin becoming a new paradigm for the new earth. Who do you want to become? What does being powerful mean to you? Where are you willing to step away from your soul group healing and be an example of wholeness instead of suffering, to them? What do you want to see in the world that you are willing to create in your own reality? These are questions to ask as we step into becoming the light of the world and of our own lives and come full circle, back to the divine, courageous beings who began this journey so many lifetimes ago and are now ready to take it to the next level.

On Being Humble

The quality of humility is necessary for mastery and allows your humanity to ascend into its divinity. It is by being humble you allow your soul’s voice to guide your life journey and enable the Source connection that is necessary to move beyond the third dimension here on Earth. Yet this is such a misunderstood principle, and you feel if you are humble then you must acknowledge your imperfection and unworthiness, deny your power and wait for guidance instead of moving forward through intention. The ego limits the expression of humility which it perceives as being the final step in its destruction. For the ego, to be humble is to be denied its power.

Humility that is centered within the ego becomes humiliation, where the ego is limited or eliminated. The ego is a necessary component of your wholeness in body, mind, emotions and spirit. It is not possible to limit one of your aspects and still be whole. The ego needs to participate in your life journey but in balance with spirit and not ahead of or behind it. If the ego is not given its voice it will challenge humility and become arrogant. It is possible to be both humble and powerful, when humility emanates from the soul’s awareness of the divine within.

When the ego is in its arrogance energy, it seeks to dominate and control. In this aspect, it acts FROM its power instead of BEING IN its power. It takes over and becomes demanding, instead of being in the flow and commanding within intention that is balanced with spirit. The ego’s definition of humility is to be humbled, to be cast down, set apart, limited and humiliated. It is the ego’s fear of being separated from its identity that allows it to insist on being the leading voice and presence in your reality. And as you acknowledge and accept your power, you give the ego an equal voice in your life’s unfolding journey, that is balanced with spirit and fully in the divine ego/spirit partnership. Then humility can be applied and the ego understands that by being humble it surrenders to spirit.

Be humble, surrender to divine Will, allow the ego to find peace in spirit and your humility will help you create the powerful reality, abundant blessings, love and joy that is your soul’s gift to you.

The Balance of Creator and Co-Creator

There is a Creator in the Universe, a central Source of power and light. This can be described as all knowing and powerful but that is an attempt to limit that which cannot be limited. Describing the concept of Creator is like describing air — what is it, where is it, how is it, how much is there? These are questions that have no answer and trying to understand Creator as an object, like describing air, instead of simply acknowledging it does not allow full connection with and use of Creator.

Creator is within and all around each of you, just like the air. Creator depends on each of you, just as you depend on Creator. Creator exists for and on behalf of each of you, as you exist for and on behalf of Creator. Together you are the source and use of energy, which allows all of creation to manifest. Without you there is no creation, and without Creator, there is nothing to create with. One is necessary for the other and there is perfect balance and equality in this relationship.

From Creator comes the source of energy, in an unending and limitless flow that is available for you to create with. As co-creator, you use the energy to create what exists in your reality, the world and the Universe. All of creation flows from micro to macro, from the individual reality you know as your life to the Universe around you. You know that all is connected, so how can you think you are not part of the flow of creation in every part of the Universe?

Each lifetime represents the fulfillment of a soul contract and healing journey that is your soul contract, a promise of co-creation with Creator. This is what you have agreed to create for yourself and for the earth in each lifetime. Every being in the Universe, in all dimensions of time and being, at all energetic vibrations and frequencies has this Creator/Co-Creator agreement. Accept yourself as a co-creator, so you can fulfill your promise of co-creation and move into greater levels of fulfillment in every area of you life and be the source of energy that Creator requires for the manifestation of Heaven on Earth.

Self Love

What does it mean to love ourselves? You’ve heard me say that all love flows from self love and we will never find someone to love us more than we love ourselves, but what does it mean to love ourselves and how do we know that we’re not loving ourselves? If it is so important why is it so complicated? It depends on how we define love, how we define ourselves, and the measure we use to gauge whether we have love in our lives because although loving ourselves has nothing to do with these things, it is through them that we decide whether we are worthy of love and can or should love ourselves or not.

Do we ever ask ourselves what love means to us? Our conversations about love are really conversations about relationships, where we have someone to love who loves us in return, or doesn’t. And we tend to confuse love, the noun, with love, the verb. Instead of a state of being, love becomes an action that can be given and taken away at will. And this is where we feel we aren’t in control of love because rather than ‘being’ love, we focus on ‘having’ love. And so often when we talk about love we bring another person into the discussion. We have love when we are in a relationship with someone who has said they love us. And if we don’t, then we think we are without love.

But our greatest challenge in loving ourselves is the ‘self’ that we love. While we see ourselves as a physical being and may even include our spiritual aspect, there are many different aspects to who we are. We have wounded and whole aspects, potential and realized aspects, we have past and present aspects. The ones we don’t love are the ones we are ashamed of, that are painful or represent bad memories. The ones we can love are the ones we are happy about. Our ability to love ourselves then depends on whether the number of ‘good’ aspects outnumbers the ‘bad’ ...and yet when we TRULY love ourselves, we love the aspects of ourselves that really matter: All of them.

Loving ourselves does not involve emotions, memory or relationships. It is a state of being that involves seeing ourselves as whole and complete, perfect in everything we do in each moment and moving from judgment to acceptance. We are love, from love and in love at all times. Love is the energy that makes our heart beat, so we can never be without love. It is the spark of divine light that gives us life and that is with and within us at every moment. It is impossible for us to not love ourselves, but it is possible for us to be in judgment and criticism of who we are, ashamed of or shamed by our actions, limited by our beliefs and thoughts. When we can set those aside we know that we are worthy of love and it is by reflecting the light of God that is within each of us, back to ourselves, that makes us worthy of love, lovable and loved.

Uriel's Message: Ego Truth and Spirit Truth


Everything in the Universe has a truth which is the mirror of its energetic purpose. There are limitless truths in the Universe, within each vibration and within each of you. Although you consciously choose to express a level of truth, what you can choose is limited by the ego because the ego's energetic vibration acts as a filter for the energy you can embody and express in every part of your life. To express your highest truth you must be aware of the energetic interaction between your ego and spirit.

The soul carries the awareness of your highest purpose, divine, spiritual truth and your path to healing and wholeness. The ego carries the awareness of your healing, your material truth and a potential for healing, which is the gift of spirit. It is the combination of the ego's willingness to accept healing and acknowledgment of a new truth that enables healing to occur. Without this partnership the ego's truth is grounded in its thoughts, beliefs and emotional energy.

Divine healing flows from the Universe through spirit to the ego. Material energy flows from the world to the ego and back in a cycle that repeats endlessly. The cycle cannot be broken until spirit's gift of a new, higher energetic truth is accepted. This is why you engage in many lifetimes with the same soul group, experience the same energies, and process the same emotional energy. The ego always filters through its truth until it is ready to accept a new one.

Your new truth is accessed through forgiveness and release of ancient energetic paradigms, which releases soul group energies and karma. The ego is the vehicle for these paradigms, its purpose is to hold energetic vibrations for healing. When you accept your divine truth and use it to replace other energies, the ego's filter is released and new ways of energetic vibration and being are available to you. This is the cycle of life, to experience energy through the ego, allow for healing, release and integrate new paradigms. It is through this healing cycle that ascension occurs as an ever-changing spiral that will take humanity out of the polarity of the third dimension and into the balance and light of heaven on earth.

When We See Our Parents In Light of Our Contract w/Them, We Realize They Accepted a Role In Our Healing Journey and Did the Best They Could

The Parenting Contract

Like the Mother and Father Contracts, the Parenting Contract is also a complex soul agreement that involves not just the father, mother and child, but an entire soul group, karmic history, energetic lineage and more. It is, in each lifetime, decided by all of the participants and includes every healing aspect the soul has come to resolve in a lifetime. While we tend to view parents as providing physical care and nurturing to their children, they are far more than that. Parents set up the karmic energy and prepare the child for the healing they have come to experience in a lifetime, beginning with the moment of conception.

And the Parenting Contract is not always a promise to be a long term parent, sometimes it involves adoption, abortion, or miscarriage when the contract is to be part of the child’s life but not in their life. Sometimes it involves abuse, betrayal, abandonment and cruelty and at other times joy, loving care, support and guidance when the soul has asked for those energies. When a soul chooses parents it can select birth and adoptive parents, foster parents and surrogates. It selects siblings and extended family because they are all part of the energetic lineage and karmic history.

We do not see our parents and their role from the soul’s perspective because we look at the emotional and human aspects of parenting and wonder how we could have possibly chosen our parents because everything they do or have done seems so wrong and yet it was so right, to a point. Granted, some parents do not balance the soul contract with spiritual understanding and an understanding of their own healing and soul growth but it’s all in divine order. And so was your choice of parents, siblings, family, life and lifestyle. But we have to remember the only purpose of the Parent Contract is healing, for everyone.

Wrapped in the Parent Contract is a higher agreement that we will all transcend our shared karma which is why we, as children, can put ourselves in harm’s way so we can give our parents the gift of healing. And if they do not accept that gift, we are free to release them because we have completed our part of the contract. There is no promise of healing, only an opportunity. There is no promise of emotional love, but there is the unconditional love that we all share as part of our spiritual heritage. When we see our parents in the light of our contract with them, we realize they accepted a role in our healing journey and did the best they could in the context of their own ascension path and ability to accept and embody spiritual healing. When we forgive and release them, our healing with them is complete and we have the closure and healing that was part of our commitment in the Parenting Contract.

Uriel's Message: One Light Can Change the World

Any limitation that you feel blocks your path is an expression of a memory you carry deep within your physical, emotional and energetic bodies of times when your efforts were limited by situations in which your light was rejected. These are often expressions of your martyr and victim consciousness, when you offered yourselves as a healing light to your soul groups knowing that they were not yet prepared for their transformation. It was never your mission to change the world, your role in the world is to shine your light in all of its expressions. And you can do that, no matter what the world does in response. The world will eventually turn towards the light when it has experienced enough darkness. When the world can find power in love it will no longer need fear. But it must experience both to make that choice. You can be the love the world needs to have as one choice among many.

All Lightworkers have had lifetimes of service in the world, to be forces for change and transformation. The light was always extended even though there were many lifetimes when it was extinguished because the world wasn't ready to release its fear. Those times you felt betrayed by Source and the belief that you were abandoned and not supported as a source of light and love was created. This belief has reverberated throughout your lifetimes and it is strongly expressed within your soul group. Through the ego you have translated this role of bringers of the light to mean that you have come to change the world. But you have simply come to be a source of light, a connection to the light and love and Source for those who are willing to see and recognize it to acknowledge it and accept it into their own hearts and being.

From these experiences you have pushed yourselves further into dimming your own light, limiting the expression of your gifts and not choosing the path of powerful creation for yourselves. If the world does not change and accept you and your gifts, you believe you are not worthy of the joy, love, abundance and success that are your divine birthright. You martyr yourselves on behalf of the light and yet that is merely an expression of your own fear that by being powerful you are a threat rather than an inspiration. You can be all you desire and want to have, every dream is possible for you when you shine your light and are willing to accept blessings for yourselves.

The path of the martyr and victim is not the highest expression of your energies and limiting your abundance is not in integrity with your truth. You can be all things within your life as you express who you are to a world that may or may not accept it. Be your truth, that is all you can do, and allow the world to follow its path until it is ready to make its own transformation. You have come to bring the truth of divinity and ascension to the world, express that in your own life and you will be the change the world seeks. Each of you can change the world when you begin within your own reality and shine your light within you, illuminating your own shadows, releasing your fear, connecting to your inner resources and being the light in your life so you can also en-lighten the world.

From One Breath to the Next

Of all of the Archangel Uriel messages I have channeled, this is my favorite because it is so profound and yet so simple. We may worry about the past or the future but the only place we live is in the moment we are taking a breath because that is the most important moment, in fact it is the only moment, in our life.

Here’s the message, that was originally channeled in 2008

Do you struggle with living in the present moment? Do you see how the present moment is the only one that exists for you, that both the past and the future do not exist until you acknowledge the present moment? Living in the present moment is like breathing for you. Just as you live in this moment and the next, so you live from one breath to the next. While your body can exist for long periods of time without food or water, it can live for only a few minutes without breathing. You live from one breath to the next and your survival in any lifetime depends on your ability to take the next breath.

There are many aspects of your physical body that do not require thought or effort. You do not have to remind your heart to beat, your muscles to work when you want to stand up or walk, your eyes to see when you want to look at the world around you, your ears to hear, your blood to flow or your lungs to take the next breath. All of these are done for you. Imagine what your life would be like if you had to remember all of these things so they could happen. You could not focus on anything else. Breathing, which is the most important element to your physical survival, is taken care of for you. And so can you work with Spirit to manifest all of your needs.

The important functions of your physical body have been designed to operate without your attention so you could focus on other aspects of your journey. This is an example of how the material world can manifest effortlessly for you. And yet you still worry about what is going to happen from one day to the next. When your focus is on the past or the future and not on the present moment, which is where you are taking the next breath you are ignoring the example of how Spirit works in your life. Unconditional love is in the air you breathe, it is provided to you effortlessly by the Earth and the elements that work together to ensure that you always have an abundance of air to breath and by your body, which remembers to take each breath on your behalf.

Do you worry about where the next breath of air will come from? Of course not. This is how effortless your reality CAN BE. Just as you do not think about whether you will remember to take the next breath or that there will be air for you to breathe, so you can release the worry about whether all of your needs will be met when you acknowledge how the Creator provides you with what you need, in unlimited abundance, as you remove your focus from worry, doubt and fear to acceptance that there is always enough. And as you take your next breath, remember it is being provided for you in abundance by a Creator who loves you beyond measure. Breathe with intention, fully and completely, know the love of the Creator is in each breath you take and just as the air you breathe is provided effortlessly, so is every other need met for you when you remember your life is a spiritual journey occurring in a material plane where everything you need is available to you.
