Moving into Creation Together: Help Wanted for Golden Age of Gaia

It’s become exceedingly clear behind the scenes at the Golden Age of Gaia that we need to expand our efforts to serve community.

We’ve heard this call-out in our survey results and we feel the same as many of you do. We want to do all we can to support the community in a move to a world that works for everyone.

There’s a level of ‘chomping at the bit’ going on over here. We’re like the race horse who just wants to run at the start of the race.

Seemingly, all of a sudden, it feels like the opportunity to push ahead and begin to create in alignment with new paradigms is available, where before it’s always seemed to be not the right time quite yet.

We’ve just been through a time where our staff has been significantly reduced for several different reasons. We thank those who’ve served here so long and so well, and bless them in their new endeavors. However, because of this, the workload per individual has grown to ridiculous and untenable proportions. We need help to continue to produce the high-quality content blog we love and to expand it as well.

You’ve seen, and will continue to see, various positions offered to our community for those who wish to serve as a volunteer, as all of us who are here in service already are volunteers.

I’m not going to pretend that what’s needed and asked for is less than intense devotion. This is a daily blog, and most all the positions will ask that someone give their time every day to a task, no matter how big or how small. Such devotion to even ‘small’ tasks is no small thing!

In the years I’ve led the Golden Age of Gaia forum team, I haven’t missed a day. Every day I give my attention and love to this. This is how I serve, and so I understand firsthand how much is asked when we ask for such devotion.

It’s an immense amount to ask for from a volunteer, and yet, I also know there are those among you that have such devotion.

We need your skills and your willingness to apply them with us in the daily creation of this blog. Only you will know if this is in your life plan, and if you have the juice and devotion for it.

If you feel you do, please come forward and allow us to see if we can find a placement that brings you the joy of playing an integral part of the creation of the blog going forward. The return in the satisfaction of knowing your time is well spent in service to a whole lot of people is mighty!

Our greatest need right now is for at least one proofreader and probably at least two transcribers. These are high-level positions which require quite a bit of time from whomever wishes to do them. Basic skill levels need to be reasonably high here as well.

We also need at least one and maybe two new editors to help us post. Knowledge of WordPress is a good thing, but training is available.

For those mighty lovers who feel personally called to action, please use the “Contact Us” feature on the blog (above, top) to let us know what skills you have to offer, and be sure to put the position you’re interested in in the subject line so that it gets to the right person in a timely fashion. We’re overloaded with tasks right now, so forgive if it takes a bit to get back to you.

Creating the Hub: The Time Has Come by Steve Beckow

Julie, Seattle (with Kathleen), and Sitara, Bellingham, had the same idea of the “hub”

Please allow me to continue my remarks on the state of the lightworker community by looking at an idea that rearranged my commitment and my lightworker world-view.

Sometimes an idea comes along that crystallizes things, that shows up like the missing piece, the object of the Eureka! moment.

When Sitara in Bellingham explained to me her vision for what I call a “gathering place” – she might call it a “hub” or a “meeting place” – I knew I had just heard the answer to all the nagging questions in the back of my mind.

I acknowledge that Kathleen had heard the same idea from Julie in Seattle the previous night, but I wasn’t present to that conversation. Listening to Sitara was the first I’d heard of it.

Let me explain it this way. Until now, we lightworkers have been isolated and trying to relate our ideas to anyone who’d listen. We have missions to carry out but no one was listening. In fact we experienced ridicule quite often if we talked about our point of view.

We lacked the backing of a community. We lacked affirmation. We lacked influence.

But Sitara and Julie recommended that we abandon trying to influence society from a scattered position.

They advocated that lightworkers come together, in a common building, or in a close group of separate locations.  Instead of working in isolation, lightworkers would be invited to work together, to focus their love, to combine their voice.

Another lightworker on Whidbey suggested a global directory of lightworker services. That would be one of the useful tools for a connected lightworker community.  We’re considering providing that service but it very well may be beyond our current means. Someone else may need to do it in the end.

Building a hub would increase our confidence and lend us the support we need to make inroads in areas that remain Third-Dimensional.

Instead of positioning ourselves defensively and protectively, warding off ridicule, we could turn matters around. We could take the initiative, reinforce each other, and create momentum. Always peacefully and lovingly of course.

We could give each other mutual support, communicate with each other, share the burden and share the load when we work outwards from a central hub.

Sitara and Julie’s idea is the key to helping lightworkers to really get down to work dismantling the old order and ushering in the new. I recommend there be a “Hub” or “Gathering Place” in every city and town.

As Kathleen pointed out to me, the creation of a hub doesn’t have to wait for the garnering of a large building or series of buildings. Every meet-up is a “hub.” The central idea of it as that we now need to come together in groups.

Now is the time. As one lightworker put it: “So many hearts are opening up now and it’s important that we all connect.” I couldn’t agree more.

If we’re wondering what advantages we have, we have a team and we have a game plan. We may be the only group in town that does.

And we know that our plan is destined to work. In fact, it’s unstoppable in the long run. We know the direction society is headed in and what the rules of the game (the universal laws) are.

Our focused light and love may just be what’s needed to turn the tide on this planet from the violent, lower-dimensional behavior we’re addicted to to the noble, higher-dimensional behavior that the builders of Nova Earth are committed to introducing on this planet.

Coincidentally (as if there are any coincidences), just this morning I was reading an email from Inelia Benz where she announces that she will expand her travels around Europe at the moment, down to South America later.  The drive to meet and connect seems to be the order of the day.

Kathleen and I are already discussing our next venture, but it may have to wait. The farther we go from home, the more the costs go up (rental car being the main one). Nonetheless the urge is there and it must be coming from somewhere.

Loving Unconditionally, Forgiving Universally by Steve Beckow

One thing after another is becoming clearer to me now.
The task facing us is simple but complex. It’s easy but it seems hard.
Put as simply as I can make it out, we’re being asked to love unconditionally and forgive universally.
If I were to reduce things to their lowest common denominator – or perhaps elevate them to their highest common denominator – that would be it for me. That seems to me our only marching order.
If I were to translate that into the basic spiritual movement, (1) I’d say discriminate between the Real and the unreal, forgive the unreal, and love the Real.

The Divine Mother asked us to use the criterion of love to measure everything we encounter, everything we say, everything we do. She said last September in a conversation with Suzi Maresca:

"Is it of love?  We’re not talking about … doing an analysis because, dear heart, your societies tend to analyze things to death.  We’re talking about heart discernment.  Does it feel like love?  It is a very quick yes or no.” (2)

We’re in the midst of a Tsunami of Love and what is that  exactly? Archangel Michael tells us:

“What is the tsunami of love? It is the outpouring of the essence of love from the Source, from the Creator, the Unified One that has been the creative force for the creation of many, many universes.” (3)

The love we’re experiencing isn’t a new development. It’s been going on with us for years, gradually escalating. Not merely love but clarity and purity too. He continues:

“Particularly over the past couple of years, … you have been actively and consciously receiving increases in your vibratory frequency, in your ability to hold and maintain more light, higher frequency, more love. And this is not simply a tsunami or an outpouring that is occurring, well, out of the blue — but in fact it does come out of the blue!  [The Mother’s blue.]

“Now you have been given, and you are continuing in the receiving of, the Mother’s gift of clarity, and even more importantly, shall we say, the twin, purity, which carries with it wisdom and truth. You know this. But these are all, yes, pre-requisites.

“They expand you, they allow you to feel in different ways, experience in different ways, and enter into the truth of the human experience as it was intended for the collective. And many of you are experiencing this. And for this we say Alleluia.”   (4)

It ain’t nearly over yet, he explains.

“Has it reached the fullness of what is required? No. But it is sufficient that this outpouring of love onto the planet will not disassemble or overwhelm you to an extent that you could not maintain or stay in your body, because, of course, the entire purpose of this glorious Ascension is that it is being done while maintaining the physical vessel, which is something that is brand new.” (5)

All of this we’re going through is brand new – in the universe, he adds:

“Do you know, my family, how rare something new is throughout the multiverse? It is rare and it is precious. And therefore it is being very carefully monitored. I wished to say orchestrated, but that would give you the impression that it is us simply doing to [you], and that is not the nature of this unfoldment.” (6)

All we have to do is love. All we need is love. Love really does make the world go round, up, down.
When I forget, remind me. When I stumble, send it to me. And when I keel over from the majesty of it all, forgive me.

Three Stages of Ascension by Steve Beckow

 I can now discern three stages to Ascension. Likely there are more, but this is just what I see.

The first stage is Ascension Lite, the car wash, passing through the Ascension portal and returning. This is the stage that the GateKeepers, WayShowers, regridders, and other early risers are passing through and then doubling back and telling us what they saw.

The second is Ascension proper, which should occur before summer’s end, as Archangel Michael revealed to me recently:

Steve: Just generally, not specifically, so as not to break your agreement with the channel, when will the ignition happen for the mass of the population?

Archangel Michael: It will be before the Fall [2014]. (1)

This is full entry into the first subplane of the Fifth Dimension. But this is not journey’s end or even the end of this leg of the journey.

The third stage is Sahaja Samadhi, the stage of enlightenment that means Mukthi, liberation from birth and death. The Divine Mother has said that Sahaja occurs some time after our Ascension into the Fifth.

Steve Beckow: When does Sahaja Samadhi occur?

Divine Mother: It occurs with a more gradual Awakening and lifting up. So there is the abrupt “I am not the same,” then there is the working and the anchoring --the integration-- then there is another jump, and another jump, and another jump. And you don’t know it — well, some of you do — but you are leap-frogging. And then you will be there.

SB: Now, are those jumps equivalent to sub-planes?

DM: You can think of it as sub-planes, dimensional sub-planes, yes. (2)

The Mother went on to say that “the Ascension … is at mid-point.  (3) I think, when she says this, she’s referring to Ascension proper, the lift to the Fifth Dimension, certainly not to the attainment of Sahaja.

The attainment of Ascension appears to be a very steep J-curve.  The preparation has been slow for decades, if not centuries and millennia, but now it has taken off in a steep curve upwards. She uses the example of creating a world that works for everyone to illustrate it.

“There are those amongst you who have the highest intention, who suggest to you that this change that I speak of, the creation … of a world that works for everyone, everyone and every being, takes decades or millennia. That does not speak well to my abilities, does it? I suggest to you, I guide you: this is not correct.

“Can this occur in the blink of an eye? Yes. Has it? Well, for some of you it actually has. That switch went on and you said, ‘Ah, I get it. I AM it.’ (4)

But many of us think that ISIS has newly arisen and is causing chaos in Iraq, making the drama seem as if it will go on forever.  The Mother hints that they too will be swept along the J-curve:

“I call out to the extremist carrying the missile, or wielding the gun, or shouting obscenities in the name of God. Where is the love? Where is the charity? The compassion?

“I beckon to all of you, and I penetrate all of you. And so, will there be a crisis of faith, of conscience? For many, yes. Because that warrior, that soldier will say, ‘I don’t feel right about this. I feel like I must lay down my arms.’ And they will say, ‘How am I supposed to serve?’” (5)

She tells us, perhaps to brace our resolve: “I speak to you … who are at the head of the wave, but I also call out to every person on Earth. … Understand, you have been serving a man-made image of God and of what we desire. You got it wrong. I do not wish for bloodshed or mayhem. Chaos is boring. Relinquish, and relinquish now.” (6)

Years ago, I used to write about an expansion in the meaning of humanness – who knew at the time why  The meaning of humanness. But the Mother herself speaks of an expansion in humanness itself.  “This creation that we are speaking of [is] of a new human being, of the original form, improved somewhat.”

“I am not merely talking about giving you more tools. I am talking, addressing you, all of you of this planet, I am talking about fundamentally changing — not evolution, shift — what it means to be human. You say to me, ‘Mother, can you do that?’ We are Creator Force.” (7)

I don’t think we fully understand the significance of what She says.

In any case, as we rise, as growing numbers of us pass through the Ascension portal in Ascension Lite, our understanding of what is occurring will undoubtedly grow.

But more to the point, the understanding of everyone on Earth will grow as the Tsunami reaches its crescendo. ISIS, the Syrians, the Israelis and Palestinians, and everyone else on the planet who are either fighting or inciting to violence will find these actions getting harder and harder to do until the fighting ends on Earth.

Archangel Michael said that Ascension and the ReVal would happen before the Fall. That is not long away. The missing piece in understanding how this could happen so soon is that I don’t think the resistant and the recalcitrant (the cabal) know with whom they’re dealing.

We are right now in the first phase of Ascension as the GateKeepers and WayShowers pass through the car wash, emerge bright and shiny, and come back to pick up others. Before summer’s end, we pass through the second stage of Ascension, the jump to Fifth Dimensionality.

And then sometime down the line, not long as time goes, I’m sure, we’ll pass on to Sahaja, Unity Consciousness, the natural state. In that state, the understanding and wisdom we have will make how to build a world that works for everyone become simple, plain and obvious.

So few enlightened masters seem to be aware of the global shift that’s happening today that coming across this video from Bentinho Massaro is a delight. Very long. Perhaps start at 35:00. Thanks to Paul.

I once asked the Divine Mother on An Hour with an Angel why so few terrestrial masters mention Ascension and, as I recall, she said that they wanted to remain focused on bringing their students to the end of the journey.

Ever since I can remember, I have had a heightened sense of the endless possibilities that lie forgotten within the human being, or rather: within our nature as consciousness. This intuition, coupled with what I saw in the world around me and my personal frustration with my circumstances, the stupidity of going to school, and the unconscious acting of people in general, as I perceived it — culminated in a compulsive urge to get to the root of all things; to find the truth that lies at the Heart of all that is.

So it was, that at the age of 16, I consciously decided to commit myself to the search for ‘The Source of All Things.’


I intuited that this Ultimate Answer, as I called it at the time, would reveal to me (or anyone else sufficiently aware of it) such a deep understanding of the workings of life that – through and by the power of that understanding – one would be capable of resolving any issue, question, or practical matter for any individual’s path to total well-being, as well as lead to our entire civilization’s liberation from conflict altogether.

I soon realized that the understanding I was seeking would not only contain access to any answer ever asked for, but would also effectively deal with the causes of internal suffering and the belief in separation and lack.

In retrospect, the innate qualities or tendencies (earnestness, dedication, compulsion, intensity, seeking drive, extremism, etc.) which caused me to strive and suffer the most in that approximately 6 year period of intense spiritual, mental, emotional and physical ups and downs, were also what heavily contributed to my relatively swift liberation from suffering altogether.

My journey led me to many teachers, teachings, philosophies and deep into places within my own consciousness. Here is a list of some of the things I studied and applied in depth until I felt I had exhausted the techniques’ usefulness, and had seen their pros and cons, their ins and outs: Various forms of Meditation (Vipassana, Transcendental, Yogic, Samyama, Motionlessness, and others); Mindfulness, Yoga, Pranayama, Ayurveda and the yogic philosophies and practices of higher consciousness; I went to live in spiritually-swamped places in India for a while (which is a practice in and of itself); NLP, EFT, several personal development courses and intensives; Silva Mind Control (utilizing the Alpha and Theta brainwaves); Reiki, Initiations, and some other things. Some of these I became certified in; others I decided to leave behind me before I reached the end of the course, for they served no further purpose. And why hang around something that no longer lifts you up beyond where you thought you could be? This was my attitude with everything I could get my hands on at that time.

Liberation: The end of desperation, but the beginning of your life!
After years of this desperate quest, filled with effort, judgment, self-torture and constant striving, I finally gave up on trying to follow other teachers’ ideas of what to practice. I decided to trust myself instead, out of sheer mental exhaustion.

This exhaustion and letting go happened in a state of utter despondency and disappointment at the failure of my relentless attempts to ‘get it’ and to ‘get it in time’, and to play by other people’s beliefs. These people were, I finally realized, no more enlightened than I was – even if they had practiced some form of meditation for 30 years, had a long beard, or were perceived as enlightened by others. I realized that the status some people wore of being ‘an enlightened one’ meant absolutely zero to me.

It was then, in India, that I had my first profound shift in allegiance toward that which I already knew underneath to be true, but had doubted because of the apparent authority of ‘other enlightened ones’: The infinite potential, all present vibrantly and brilliantly, always and already right here and now. It was this truth of the very presence of (my) existence itself that had nudged me all along and carried me through my desperate yet focused search, and purged me out into self-reliance, self-responsibility, and Self-Realization, as well as into a life filled with ever-expanding wonder, awe, joy, and empowerment in ways I could not imagine before.

Following the shift in allegiance from ‘others know the truth’ to ‘what I am is the truth’, a deep relaxation remained — a non-referential ease of being. This had been recognized before, but its ever-presence was overlooked because of the belief that I did not yet have the answer. Life revealed itself to shine fully and completely by its own power alone. It offered its presence with an incredible naturalness, requiring no effort or maintenance whatsoever. This, I realized, was simply The Natural State of Existence Itself.

Finally, I had found what I was so desperately seeking: I was now in touch with the foundation that could provide any answer to life’s many callings; therefore, this realization of Life Itself, was indeed The Ultimate Answer.
I naturally continued, as if taking a bath, to sink into this indescribable freedom that didn’t, and still doesn’t, seem to know an end or boundary. This awakening was the beginning of my life and the end of an unpleasant dream where I thought lack and separation could truly, possibly exist. Ha!

Enlightenment is not the end, it is only the beginning — the foundation for any real evolution or transformation to occur. So what are we waiting for? Instead of dreaming of a faraway place called ‘enlightenment’, let us at least get started realizing the truth that never leaves our presence; for it is our presence. This freedom is all-inclusive, ever-available, never-ending, and it is meant to be discovered, at the very least, by everyone.–Bentinho Massaro

The Teacher in Me
While exploring each philosophy or method I came across, as well as facing the different depths and heights of my own consciousness, I always found myself extracting from these experiences and methods what I felt was truly useful and effective, and soon learned not to hesitate to leave behind the things that were not.

Or, as I once explained:

“In addition to my own self engaging in these different teachings, I always felt a presence representing ‘the average Joe’, looking over my shoulder as it were, helping me to distill from all that I learned the things that would most likely be useful to most people later on, and to leave out the rest. I naturally desired to have my discoveries be made 100 times easier and more accessible for others.”

And:

“I knew that if I could find infinite peace and empowerment within, there must be a way for my grandmother and my next door neighbor to recognize and benefit from all this as well. If something is absolutely true, it has to be true anytime, anywhere, and for anyone, including those with no interest to go on a desperate search for Enlightenment, like I did. “How to bridge Enlightenment to the everyday collective?” – has been, and still is in many ways, my greatest passion and talent in this life. It is what I live for, ‘what I came here for’.”

My teachings have gone through many facelifts over the years, as I fine-tune my understanding of what seems most effective for people, and as the deepening continues of my own on-going realization of the infinite facets of reality and the endless subtleties and levels we as human beings have created for ourselves in our relationship to Existence.

Although the teaching is ever-evolving and still refining itself, adjusting and responding to the changes made globally in our collective consciousness as well, I feel it has reached its completion, in the sense that it comprehends, and is able to encompass, the most individualized and personalized level of creation, up to the most Absolute level of reality beyond all forms, shapes and experiences, and to address pretty much anything in between these two extremes that is relevant for where we are at as individual human beings and as a species.

A Parting Note

As I have written this biography over the course of a few months, and in pieces, I notice how the illusion of time and linear-identity has so lost its grip on my consciousness that this biography was one of the hardest things to write, and took me longer to come up with than anything… maybe, ever. I clearly see that history too is optional, and that my past is one of many optional realities, all co-existing Now. Whichever one we define as real, becomes effective in our Now. But all of them are optional and equally valid points of view of the eternity of Now.

My lack of involvement in ‘my past’ shows me so clearly, yet again, that identity does not carry over from one flicker of creation to the next. It is this experience of timelessness, and many other joyful and enlightening facets of a life lived in freedom, that I wish to share with you all by example; by simply being myself in everything I do and decide to be.

I hope you enjoy these teachings and find a great amount of benefit in them for your own life. I often say: “Don’t take advice from anyone you don’t want to end up like.” – And I can gratefully tell you that I wholeheartedly desire for you to end up like me, albeit in your own unique and beautifully owned way.

May my advice and my sharing lead you to the experience of life as I perceive it. Because for me, there is nothing in creation that I could find – and I have sought until I felt there was nothing left to find – that tastes better and proves more fruitful than the ways in which I have come to intimately experience and understand existence. And if I have any wish for you, how could it not be to see existence as I do, when all this gives me is freedom, unimaginable resourcefulness, unconditional love and bliss?

This is not a fairy tale; it is my daily living experience, and I wish nothing more for you than to be authentically yourself with this joy, love and freedom as the basis of your every experience and self-expression.

Part 1: Everyone has a Life Plan

As we contemplate the circumstances of Ascension and life in the Golden Age, it may be useful to look at the element in the Divine Plan of our soul contracts, pre-birth agreements, or life plans.

Apparently, everything we do, everyone we meet, all opportunities and all outcomes have already been written into a contract we negotiated before birth in concert with our spiritual directors.

“Nothing that is important to your life plan happens by chance,” SaLuSa tells us. (1)  Saul agrees: “There are no accidents or coincidences. Every occurrence and every opportunity that you experience during Earth life has been prepared or allowed for before you incarnated.” (2)

SaLuSa says that a soul’s life plan “is carefully planned to give a soul the precise experiences that will further their evolution.” (3)  The plan “caters [to] your needs, and whether you work for the Light or otherwise makes no difference.” (4)

Matthew Ward reminds us that these “pre-birth agreements, which are designed for soul growth of all individuals who want to share the lifetime, are made in unconditional love.” (5)

Very few of us “are personally aware [that we have a plan and a contract], and have seen into the future and planned it accordingly,” SaLuSa explains. (6) Matthew estimates that only “a relative handful of Earth’s peoples know about soul contracts.” (7) Many find these assertions hard to accept “but that is because they have little or no recollection of having made that decision,” St. Germaine tells us. (8)

We all come into life with Guides who “will do everything in their power to ensure you complete your incarnation successfully,” according to SaLuSa. (9)

Our various plans aim to accomplish a specific overall purpose, SaLuSa says, “that moves you on and adds to your spiritual understanding.” (10) We’ve “already set out the levels that you wish to attain,” Atmos of Sirius contends. (11)

While every individual has a plan, it still interacts with the whole, SaLuSa explains. (12)  Nonetheless, “within your limited state of human consciousness,” according to Saul, “understanding of that order is impossible because the lives of all humans affect each other in myriad incomprehensible ways.” (13)

While we’re surprised at the extent of coordination, from the higher realms, in SaLuSa’s view, “events can be foreseen way ahead, so it is easy enough to place you where it is of the most benefit.”

“Life seems complicated but in reality it is quite simple, as you will always find yourself to be in the right place. It is much the same with the people that enter your life, as that is also by arrangement and agreement.” (14)

“You are each part of soul groups that come together with the purpose of gaining experience,” he tells us. (15)  Zingdad, channel for Adamu, adds:

“You chose who your parents would be, who your friends, lovers and partners would be.

“You also chose just as carefully who your rivals would be, who would play the painful goad-to-growth when you needed that. You chose it all.” (16)

Furthermore, Saul says: “Your paths are all perfectly planned so that the necessary interactions will occur at exactly the right moment, allowing you total freedom to choose an appropriate response in the moment, as it occurs.” (17)

Why do we not remember planning them? He explains: “If you had knowledge of that it would be impossible for you to follow your chosen path because you would be constantly concerned about your standing and your effect on your group.” (18)

Archangel Michael explains in more detail how we were made to forget.

“Within your mental body, the frequency patterns for each level of consciousness (or dimension) were stored in what we have termed Light packets of wisdom. These were encased in membranes of Light or a veil which restricted access to the various higher dimensional awareness levels until you were, once again, resonating to that level of consciousness.

“It is time for the veils of unconsciousness to be lifted, Beloveds, so that you can remember the vastness of who you are, the grand experiences you have had, and the bright future that is before you.” (19)

As long as we forget, Saul advises us:

“When life throws you a curved ball, embrace it! You planned your life paths very carefully prior to incarnating to provide you with the lessons you chose to learn, knowing that when they occurred you would not understand them.” (20)

What often happens is, as SaLuSa explains, “many in older age look back and feel that they have lost out somewhere, and have unfulfilled dreams.”

“However, there is never a wasted life as you will almost certainly have followed your pre-life plan. Often what happens is that you come into a new life, with strong memories of recent ones where you had enjoyable experiences. The memories are near the surface and you yearn for more, but the problem is that your life plan has not included for such opportunities to be repeated.

“There is as little repetition as possible, in the interests of pushing your evolution forward. Of course there are exceptions, but these mostly occur where a previous lesson has not been fully learnt.” (21)

Tomorrow we’ll look at the role of free will and the personality in the outworking of our lives as planned.

Soul Contracts and Life Reviews – Part 2/4 

Family Roles

SaLuSa tells us that “other souls that take an important role in your life are chosen for you, and you meet them as ‘arranged’ although it may well appear to be a random event.”

“Be assured that whoever enters your life where it has any strong and lasting effect is part of your life plan.  …

“Nothing happens by chance although you are often convinced that it is the case. Without planning it would be impossible to ensure you experienced exactly what you needed to evolve.” (1)

A family agreement,” he reveals, “is made with all souls’ unconditional love for each other.”

“Because the agreement is designed to benefit every participant, some are the ‘heavies’ for their own balancing, which enables the others to experience what they need to achieve balance, and all can move forward in soul growth.” (2)

Matthew reminds us that, conscious or not of their role, all family members are responsible for their actions.

“None of the participants consciously knows the role he or she chose and all are responsible only for their personal decisions and actions. You cannot control the actions of the family members you feel are in darkness, but you can control your reactions – reacting within the light lets lightheartedness flow within and radiate outward to all around you.” (3)

The fact that “families often stick together through many incarnations playing out different roles each time … can explain why some families are so close together and have a very strong bond,” SaLuSa reveals.

“If for example you choose to have a close relationship with a soul that is not part of your life plan, it will not develop into anything more serious. In such circumstances you have two souls involved and beyond a friendly relationship, neither can go beyond that level of relationship. Naturally in the course of your lifetime you have many friends that come and go, but they may not have any specific influence.” (4)

Role of the Ego and Free Will

“We hear some question where freewill comes in,” SaLuSa tells us. (5) Whenever the subject of a planned life comes up, the question of freewill seems to come up soon after it.

“Certainly you have freewill, but at the same time you have undertaken a certain life plan that is your path for any one incarnation. It is to ensure that you progress in a sensible manner as quickly as possible.” (6)

We wouldn’t have a plan if we had not exercised our freewill to create it before incarnating, he points out. “But the final word is with you.” (7)

Archangel Uriel through Jennifer Hoffman explains how cooperation between the soul and the ego or personality works.

“The soul and ego create an agreement for each lifetime in which the soul provides the opportunities for learning and healing that the ego agrees to complete. There is no final agreement as to the outcome for that is within the realm of the ego and free will.

“There is an opportunity to express the soul’s intention for the highest and best outcome but the ego must be able to release its attachment to the energies that it has created and willing to raise its vibration for this to occur. Often this agreement becomes a battle of the ego and free will against the soul and the life journey becomes challenging. …

“When the ego forgets its soul agreement its journey becomes ‘soul-less’, without the soul’s partnership. It tries to battle the darkness with its own darkness instead of connecting to the light within. Then life becomes a journey of fear, lack and confusion.” (8)

What’s missing when life becomes a fearful journey “is the light of the soul, which is available to the ego when it is willing to share the journey and to be open to the possibility of life beyond fear, because by itself it is not aware of that as a potential.”

“The ego must be convinced that beyond this trial and part of the journey is a new beginning because it does not know that…  What you can become is the promise of the soul when you allow it to participate on your journey and co-create your healing journey.” (9)

How We Work with Our Soul Contract

Matthew Ward reveals that, while “every soul incarnates light-filled and with specific missions that it chose prior to birth,” it then forgets.

“The infant knows its godself and the missions in its lifetime soul contract, but all memory of that knowledge is forgotten as the baby adjusts to a dense body and adapts to parental expectations; as the child grows older, it encounters influences from other authority figures, too, and peers.” (10)

The forgetfulness, which is at conscious level only, Matthew says, “is part of the grand design that offers the person learning experiences; and all along the way, the soul sends messages to the consciousness in the form of conscience, intuition, instinct and other types of guidance in accordance with contract choices.” (11)

He advises us that our “instincts and intuition, your soul’s guidance to your consciousness … nudge you into avenues that … you chose to experience during this lifetime.” (12) And so he recommends that we listen to and make decisions on the basis of them.

“Persons who heed those messages live true to their lifetime purpose and retain their light. The light starts to dim in those who ignore their souls’ messages, and if they continue to pay no heed to that guidance, they stray farther and farther from their chosen missions and their light keeps diminishing until only the spark that is their life force remains.”  (13)

We’re always attended by guides, but they cannot always interfere, he tells us.

“Remember that you always have your helpers around you, and they are ready to assist you when help is needed. However, it is not their place to impose themselves upon you, and you need to ask for help to get a response. It may not always be exactly as you desire and remember that there is always your life plan to consider.” (14)

Life plans do change when circumstances arise that were not foreseen that have become part of our experiences, SaLuSa advises. Sometimes the changes are not beneficial, but “on other occasions they may take you forward quicker than anticipated.” (15)

And, Matthew relates, we can petition to amend our soul contract.

“A petition to amend one’s soul contract is done at soul level, because only at that level can it be known if the person’s life circumstances are harsher than the experiencing chosen prior to birth. It is on the basis of excessive suffering that the petitions are granted.” (16)

We may face the same challenge repeatedly until we learn the lesson it contains and progress spiritually.  Further experiences, SaLuSa explains, “can cover any area of your life plan that has not been successful.” (17)

What we agree to manage in any one lifetime, SaLuSa tells us, is usually “only as much as [we] can handle.”  (18)

Thus the sacred journey from God to God forms an arc, but it also has a secondary characteristic as a spiral in that we repeatedly return to the same circumstances until we’ve learned the lesson they contain.

Finally, higher development allows us more say in our future soul contracts, he explains: “Life is all about experiences, and once you rise up out of the lower dimensions you will have more say in where your future incarnations take you.” (19)

Thus, while we orchestrated our lives prior to incarnating, how we respond to the situations we wrote into our script remains our choice.  We wrote in relationships with all the important actors in our lives.  We receive soul promptings as to wise choices and so long as we respond to them the light in our lives increases; when we ignore them, it decreases. While we can change our life plan, we’ll keep returning to the same lessons over and over again until we learn them successfully.

Tomorrow we’ll look at what karma really is: not punishment for mistakes but further opportunities to learn valuable spiritual lessons and progress.
